We are Ann and Chris and we started a weight loss journey in Sept of 2009. We were overweight and yes, obese most of our lives and finally decided that enough was enough. Our plan started with a program through a clinic called HMR which was low calorie  meals consisting of shakes, oatmeal and soups.  We incorporated a lot of exercise into the mix, almost 2 hours per day doing 30 min of cardio then weights. We lost a lot of weight in the first few months, around 50 pounds each.  We then started to transfer over to a bodybuilding type diet consisting of a lot of lean protein, vegetables, and quality carbs and fats.  As of Sept 2011 we have lost and kept off over 135 pounds (Ann) and over 100 pounds (Chris). Everyday can be a struggle and we are FIRM believers that you need a strong support system in place to succeed.
